Time takes its toll on all of us, and it's impossible to miss. Growing older is not for the weak of nerve, and that's not all. What about love later in life, and are men in particular as precious as a good wine? We look into this question so that growing old stays purely hypothetical. Because deep down, each of us is a little bit afraid of it, and yet we may even want to live to 100.

Is Age Just a Number?

Some say yes, while others live by the numbers of their years, which sometimes turn a cake into a torchlight parade. There simply wouldn't be room for any more candles. Yet we start declining as early as 21, not only once we look old and are old. That's where the decay begins, because from then on we're fully grown. Now we start getting on in years from around 50 and 60. The hair is gray, the gait is stiff and physical ailments increase. Accordingly, age is not just a number, it shows us the lifetime we've already lived and roughly the years we have left.

Enjoy every age.

Men and Growing Older

A topic in itself, and one that deserves to be examined closely and point by point. Because in men too, sex hormones decline and the change sets in.

  • The hair turns gray, receding hairlines appear and some can expect to go bald.
  • Sex may be more intense, but it happens less often, as the hormones slowly but surely fade.
  • Men look more interesting with age, an advantage women can only dream of.
  • Growing old and still holding their own is, accordingly, something few men manage.
  • Old men love young blood, and it's a fountain of youth for them.
  • A rich old man is still old, it's just his money that makes him interesting.
  • Many biological processes take place with age, and you can't stop them with cosmetic surgery either.

You could write books about aging, and about old and young too. Because none of us has a lease on eternal youth, yet some lag a little behind with their attitude.

Love Later in Life

Of course, health comes first as we age. Still, we want to be desired even in old age. Anyone who has exercised all their life outruns many illnesses and old age itself. Everyone grows old, because the biological clock is ticking. You can't stop it, you can only do something for yourself. Love keeps you young, and so does a positive attitude, and nobody should be lonely in old age. So enjoy life, adapt to your age, and Botox and the like certainly won't hold it back. And so each gender learns to deal with aging in its own way.
